Yom Berekha

Blessed are You, Yahweh our Elohim, King of the universe, who has created in me the sense of smell. How wonderful the fragrance of fresh cut grass; the crisp, clean scent of line-dried sheets; the soft, heart-wrenching smell peculiar to a new-born baby—all of these are individual, unique, and distinct, and I wouldn’t want to miss a single one. Thank You, YAH, for this simple, yet profound gift. May I learn to recognize the awesome fragrance of Your presence; let this be the fragrance that I desire above all, and let this be the fragrance that clings to me as I move through my day. Amein.
