Blessed
are You, Adonai our Elohim, King of the universe, who cautions me concerning overindulgence.
This can take the form of eating, spending money excessively, spending
inordinate amounts of time with other people (when my family has need of me),
or lingering for hours on the internet. All of this is the direct opposite of
the Ruach’s fruit of self-control, and reveals a lack of discipline in
my life. I ask for Your help, my Father, in this contentious area of my life,
that I might be “filled with the fruit of righteousness, through יהושע [Yeshua] Messiah, to the esteem and praise of
Elohim.” Amein.
