Blessed are You, Adonai our Elohim, King of the universe, who instructs me to intercede and pray for all of those who are in authority over me, be it in the physical realm, such as our government, or in the spiritual realm, such as those within the congregational setting. I understand and acknowledge that no person holds an authoritative position except those appointed by You. And while I may not always agree with those in authority over me, it is my responsibility to pray, that I might “lead a calm and peaceable life in all reverence and seriousness.” Amein.
