Blessed are You, Adonai our Elohim, King of the universe, on this day, this Shabbat. I thank You, my Father, for this everlasting covenant that I have with You, sealed through my obedience to the seventh-day Sabbath. As I ‘practice’ spending time with You on this set-apart day, I am in fact rehearsing for the time when I will always be with You, in the olam haba, the world to come. Thank You, my El Olam, my Everlasting God, for this small taste of eternity! Amein!
